COVID-19 Resource Hub

What does creative community building look like in a pandemic?

SEAD acknowledges that this current pandemic feels all too familiar to many in our Southeast Asian communities. We’re living in trying times that are uncertain, complicated, and heavy. Yet it’s not without forgetting the lessons of resiliency and perseverance that have passed down to us from our past and present ancestors. We’re grateful to pave ways to grow social empowerment ecosystems through cultural organizing, critical language, and just storytelling. SEAD’s commitment to the Southeast Asian diaspora still remains our core focus and in that spirit, we’re offering ways to pivot towards more innovative ways to do healing-centered and strategy-based storytelling.

We’ll be rolling out resources on a regular basis. Here’s our growing list:

General COVID-19 Resources
Translated in Burmese, Hmong, Karen, Khmer, Lao, Viet (and more as demands are needed).

Emergensea Corps
A collective volunteer-led response team for quick and easy requests for assistance including helpers who are fluent in Hmong, Khmer, Lao, and Vietnamese. Have a request or want to volunteer, get the details here: COVID-19 Needs Request Form

by Pan-Asian Voices for Equity-Minnesota (PAVE-MN)

*In an effort to create a safer space, this series will be for Asian Americans only.

Are you having trouble relaxing or sleeping during these COVID-19 times? Pan Asian Voices for Equity-Minnesota (PAVE-MN) is proud to be hosting the first in our BY US, FOR US: Asian American Healing Series – Yoga for Relaxation and Sleep with Cindy Vue.

BY US, FOR US: ASIAN AMERICAN HEALING SERIES –

PAVE-MN created a virtual healing series, By Us, For Us: Asian American Healing Series, as an extension of our beloved 2019 Asian American Healing Retreat. By and for our Asian American community, we will offer free workshops led by Asian Minnesotan healers from a wide variety of practices. Come ready to be in community with other Asians, learn tools to build resiliency, and continue your journey of ancestral healing in your bodies, minds, and spirits. This series is made possible by a group of committed volunteers and a generous SPARK grant from the Coalition of Asian American Leaders.
