Southeast Asian diasporas growing social empowerment ecosystems through cultural organizing, critical language, and just storytelling.

  • Did you know that the US has some of the largest populations of active Southeast Asian diasporas? Our homebase Minnesota has over 200,000+ Southeast Asian communities.
  • SEAD is the only Southeast Asian-centered nonprofit organization based in Minnesota that was founded in 2011 by a refugee woman and led by a staff and board that is made 100% representative of the communities we serve.
  • We have cultural arts programs offered every Spring and Fall.
  • We work with a team of linguists, scholars, designers, healers, artists and storytellers.

All donations are tax-deductible. Our EIN is 47-4088420. Join the movement by subscribing to our newsletter on our website, and following us on social media @plantthesead.
